Chinese company Century Cruises has launched its seventh ship for Yangtze River cruises, the 398-passenger Century Legend.

The launch of the Legend, which set sail this past weekend in Chongqing, China, comes on the heels of the March launch of its sister ship, the Paragon.

Like the Paragon, the Legend features a 2,000-square-foot indoor swimming pool area and a 150-seat cinema.

The Legend also has 196 exterior-facing staterooms, all with sitting areas, LCD satellite televisions (including HBO and CNN), individually controlled air-conditioning, and bathrooms with a separate tub and shower.

There are two presidential suites at 1,140 square feet each; 34 executive suites at 415 square feet each; four junior suites at 323 square feet each; and 156 staterooms at 301 square feet each.

Guests in executive and presidential suites get access to a club level, with its own a la carte restaurant, bar and reception area.

The Paragon and Legend were designed with Western travelers in mind, in collaboration with European naval architects Yran and Storbratten..

The Legend will sail four-day itineraries downstream between Chongqing and Yichang, and five-day itineraries upstream along the same route.

The itineraries include a visit to the Shibao Pagoda, sailing through the Three Gorges and a visit Three Gorges Dam.

Century Cruises can be reserved through Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection, Avalon Waterways, Brendan Vacations and Gate 1 Travel, among other tour operators and river cruise lines with which the company has partnered.
